As part of Archives Awareness Week Jon Newman from Lambeth Archives leads a walk around the ancient Minet estate, the lands held by the Minet family from the eighteenth century, uncovering the area's earlier history of farming, market gardens and nineteenth century suburban development as well as the philanthropy of the Minet family. The walk covers 1.5 miles and will finish back at Lambeth Archives where a display of estate documents and maps from the archive will be shown to illustrate the changing landscape history of the estate. Whilst this event is free to attend booking is essential, and you will need to click through to our website in order to book.
