Water has long been a source of inspiration for many writers, whether literally or metaphorically, from Coleridge's 'Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner' to Salman Rushdie's Haroun and the Sea of Stories, to name just a couple. In this two-hour workshop, Emma Filtness, Creative Writing Tutor, Brunel University will help you explore a range of literature saturated with H2O before finding inspiration for your own writing in a specially-curated selection of water-themed prompts from The Royal Asiatic Society's collection, from maps and photographs to paintings and a magnificent 'magic' water bowl.  Event held at: Royal Asiatic Society, 14 Stephenson Way, London.
