Torquay Museum is for the first time going to take part in the national 'Explore Your Archive' week to promote its nationally important collections. As part of the campaign the Museum is going to put on display rarely seen documents from the Hester Forbes-Julian Collection which includes letters written by scientists, explorers and writers such as Jane Austen, John Keats and the Brönte’s. The Museum is currently digitising 6,000 images of Dartmoor taken by Richard H. Worth in 1920s and 1930s and the original negatives, lantern slides, prints and exposure diaries from the Worth Collection will form another part of the display. Letters and Worth’s Dartmoor can be seen in the Museum on 18th November.
